French horse racing operator Pari-Mutuel Urbain (PMU) launched the Léon artificial intelligence chatbot on July 22, 2026, to assist customers with wagering decisions. The tool operates continuously to provide data analysis and betting guidance through the company's digital platforms.
Named in honor of the late journalist Léon Zitrone, the system utilizes data analysis to interpret racecards and horse statistics. Users can query the interface regarding specific equine histories, jockey details, and performance records across various distances. The platform is designed to clarify wagering mechanics for new users while supplying detailed metrics for seasoned bettors.
PMU Digital Ecosystem Updates
The introduction of the AI assistant follows the release of the PMU Play application at the end of March. This mobile platform integrates horse racing, poker, and sports wagering into a unified interface. Corporate leadership changes also occurred recently, with Cyrille Giraudat assuming the CEO role in January after Emmanuelle Malecaze-Doublet.
Additionally, the organization appointed a new chairman of the board of directors in March.
